I know that this post is a bit late but is anyone else annoyed with Superwhiner? Sorry but I can't call him Superman with the way the writers portrayed him on Supergirl. He didn't like the fact that the Martian had a stockpile of kryptonite that could kill him and his cousin making him feel mortal. He wanted to be a "God" lording it over everyone that he can't be harmed, whereas the humans the kryptonian supposedly protects are vulnerable to almost everything in their environment. I know I'd probably annoy most fans, but really Whinerman's reason was just plainly ill thought out and poorly written. On the plus side Still a fan of Supergirl.Read more >

So far there has been six episodes of Supergirl and they have shown that this move is all for the best. I will tell you why right now.
1. More respect for the source material
Right away the show introduced Superman, but they weren't done. They added in Mon-El, Metallo, Parasite, and Guardian. They also did these characters justice by understanding the source. No more bad adaptations like Indigo for villians.
2. More attention given to the cast
Everyone didn't feel like their own character last season cause they were almost always talking about Supergirl. The characters all have their own plotlines now. Jimmy is becoming a superhero, Alex is figuring out that she is gay, Jonn discovers he isn't the last of his kind, Cat is going through a whole…Read more >

What're you guys excited for this season? What do you hope to see? Here's what I hope to see in season 2 and what I'm excited for.
When M'gann and Superboy come to the show, if they do the romance subplot with them I hope it's not a love triangle and I hope they don't start it too early because M'gann likely has to get used to Earth still and Superboy will have just gotten out of Cadmus so I'd like for them to adjust to their new sorroundings and lives before anything serious happens.
During the musical episode I'd like to see Barry interact with Superman and J'onn, from how Superman hadled helping Kara and from how we saw Barry help her they might have some different views on how to help her learn about fighting crime that and this'll be t…Read more >
The adaptations of the Super-Mythos goes back a long way. There has also been a lot of tv versions of the characters of Superman and Supergirl. (longer amount for Superman) That is why i hope to have you all compare them today. Smallville's characters vs the ones on Supergirl.
Which ones are your favourites? Post your opinion in the comments below on which ones are the most accurate to comics.

I want to do this mainly to say a good farewell to you all before i go and watch season 2 this year and post my opinion about it in the form of future reviews. Supergirl is an amazing show that in the end found it's footing. If you wanted a brief analysis of the show as a whole, then that is what i would say briefly. However i am going to go into more detail. So see my review of the entire show together along with some extras...
When it comes to a main character for a tv show, you got to have someone with an interesting story. Supergirl managed to bring to light something that made Kara more interesting than her more popular cousin in some ways. That is the fact that she actually lived on the planet Krypton, and got to know the people there…Read more >
I'm finally reviewing the finale of Supergirl. It's an exciting moment cause it's a pretty good season finale. Of course it has it's downsides, all episodes of Supergirl do. It's still an amazing adventure of hope, and good vs evil. Now lets start it.
The episode starts with the fight between Alex and Kara from the last episode. It's still amazing, but it's shorter than i thought it was going to be. This fight was definetly emotionally filled. (+2) Eliza Danvers arrives with the help of Jonn Jon'zz to protect her from Myriad. She gives an emotional pep talk to Alex to stop her from impaling Kara with a kryptonite sword. This is a pretty good speech and worthy of praise considering the episode is 50% speech. +1
They go back into the recording…Read more >
The episode begins with Myriad causing Lucy to release all the Fort Razz prisoners. Maxima is included as one of them. She is an obscure Superman villian, and this is actually her live action debut. Supergirl arrives and knocks her out. She also has an action packed battle with Lucy Lane. (kryptonite bullets are there to make it a challenge.) Overall with Maxima and the D.E.O breakout, it was an action packed way to start the episode. +3
Two of our main characters had to leave the city two episodes ago. They are on a bus that is stopped by the cops. Luckily Alex and Jonn are disguised as a mother and a son. This is pretty clever and it is a great way to get through the authorities, who think he just looks like Henshaw all the time. +1

This episode expands Supergirl's world to include the Flash/Arrow universe. This is something fans have been waiting for since it was first announced, but does it live up to the hype? Well let's see what happens when a new hero from another show enters Kara's life.
First i'm going to give some backstory on the Flash. I know everyone wants to get straight to the review, so this will be done in a flash.
All caught up now? Great, time to start the review. Now the episode starts where we left off, and that is with Siobhan being able to scream at cement and catch her fall. Supergirl is also moping that she can't win the city's trust even when she assembles their furniture. Lucy is also interrogating Live…Read more >
This is an aftermath story that tells what happens after Supergirl's violent rampage. And what happens after Jonn stops Supergirl's attack on the city, and reveals himself to the world just like Supergirl and the media doesn't care? More on this later in my review.
The episode begins with Supergirl being stomped on by the media and being feared by the public. Cat Grant is also feeling glum about this and doesn't think to just release a story that she is okay now. Anyway this is the sort of scenario where the beginning is one point on the score for a good opening and one point off of it for bad Cat Grant logic when it comes to not helping Supergirl.
The next scene shows that Jonn Jon'zz did make it to the news. But Cat didn't even care an…Read more >

This episode definetly makes up for Solitude's poor direction. It is a change in direction to the whole show. Personally is just great, and leads to greatness for the later episodes. Now time to start the review.
The episode probably has the best opening of the whole show. It shows everything Supergirl accomplished emotionally in National city and it shows her continuing to do so. Perfect scene showing what kind of hero she is and sets up how it will unravel. +1
Cat Grant brings out her great humor once again making the audience have lots of laughs, along with the relationship drama with Winn and Siobhan. +1

This one was not the most inventive when it comes to characters except for Kara and Jimmy. Which is important, but the only real big thing that happened is that we finally have the fortress of solitude which is awesome. Now time to start the review!
The episode starts with a promise of Brainiac, an amazing Superman villian whom they failed to recreate later in the episode. However from the three dots, i had hope that they were going to do it right. But it was still cool to see a glimpse of an almost good promise. +1
The comedy continues to amaze. Siobhan Smythe actually helps with this, not by much but she still does more than last time. From Kara to Winn, good comedy flows through them all. Cat Grant also shows that she is very good, possib…Read more >
This episode is one showing the aftermath to what happened to Astra. How it affects the characters the most. The girl of Steel becomes the girl of feel and it is good to show, Krypton's religion was good to show as well and made the exctinct world feel more real. (+2) They also introduce Siobhan Smythe who doesn't make too much of a first impression on the show.
Jimmy is a little bit of a hippocrite with his whole obey the law thing. I know they wanted to have Jimmy do something on the show, but this is something that another character should do. It doesn't work when Jimmy broke the law himself. -1
The reference to Lobo the bounty hunter from DC comics. +1
Master Jailer executions were done very well. They were intense and graphic. +1

Technical difficulties prevented me from making more reviews. Now i am back and i can finally review one of my favourites. Bizzaro was a great one cause we finally got to see the character done correctly. We also see Adam Foster who was just ok in the last episode. He is just a bad actor and if you don't see it in the episode, you are lying to yourself. Now for the story, Bizzaro was the woman Max was experimenting on. He is also a creep to her even though she is the genetic copy of the sister of the woman he is dating. I feel he loses a point for that. (-1) There are many versions of Bizzaro in Superman TV shows, many of them are just his evil and/or less mature twin. This show understood that what made Bizzaro great was that she, (a he i…Read more >
This episode might as well be an episode in a hypothetical Jonn Jon'zz TV show. It is still a great one for all the characters though. Now lets start the episode review.
The episode has a good RV rescue by Supergirl. This is a nice way to begin the episode, with a traditional superhero save. +1 point
Adam Foster comes to National City, and he is Cat Grant's son. He vaguely talks about Cat, then flirts with Kara. It was stupid that they inserted him in for just that reason. It would have been better if they didn't have him talk about Cat. That way the audience is suprised when they do the reveal later. (-1) The amazing acting of Calista Flockhart and Blake Jenner. it was amazing for all their scenes. +2

This episode showcases more character development to a character that the show has recently made unlikable, with this one, it's a mixed bag with Winn. But the other characters are sidelined for Winn and maybe Kara at times. Now let's start the one character driven episode.
This episode starts with an amazing introduction to the Toyman, which shows the creepy yet playful side of his character. This is a villian that has fought both Superman and Supergirl in the comics. He was treated with alot of respect in this scene. (+2) Jonn and Kara fly in the air together and practice flying in a spectacular fasion. Jonn also goes through an inner conflict about using his powers. He should just tell Kara and Alex that it's because of the white martians…Read more >
This episode was filled with fun action, comedy, and characters took a back seat to the action except for Cat Grant. (who has only had her minor moments for a while now) The actual episode involves Kryptonians and email hacks. Two completely unrelated subjects coming together in one episode. It also introduces Uncle Non, who is another survivor from Krypton. He wants to kill his own niece even though they don't really need to do that when they could just capture her. Cat Grant is facing problems when she is hacked and can't do anything to stop her personal secrets from leaking out. Jimmy and Winn decide to help Kara with this issue. They eventually track down the culprit, however it is at a cost. Cat finds out that Kara is Supergirl. Howev…Read more >
This is the episode that brought alot of superhero fans back into the show. However i was into it all the way, and this one was great even if they removed the cameo of the manhunter from Mars. Now time to start another Supergirl review.
The episode starts with Kara feeling very bad that her powers are gone which makes sense for a person who lived with them all their lives. The episode also brings up Kara's holo-mom for advice and narration for the scenario which really set the scene well. It also added another bit of forshadowing to Hank Henshaw at the beginning. +1
Later in the office, Cat reveals what Kara is really valued for. Her kryptonian phisiology, which she doesn't have at the moment so she is sick. Cat is treating this as a big dea…Read more >
Episode six deals with emotion which is a common problem a superhero has to deal with, and what better bad guy to take out your emotions on than a robot? This one brought up a problem from the pilot that really needs fixing. It also brought up new problems in the form of their latest character. Now lets see it in a bigger light.
The episode starts with Kara stopping two reckless drivers. (It's a common foe of a superhero) It causes Kara to get angry and hurt one of the drivers. When she returns to the D.E.O, she tells Henshaw that the guys were going to run over some kids. She notifies the audience that guys are always the ones going crazy behind the wheel. Now i'm okay with feminism, but when it's overly used when everyone gets the whole d…Read more >
This episode does the usual villian of the week plot, however it fuels the character's arcs as much as the last episode. It also plays with my Superman nostalgia by bringing in the iconic Livewire, it also brought in Helen Slater (former Supergirl) and Dean Cain. (former Superman) It also hints towards many future plot points like Toyman. Now as usual it is time to start the review.
The episode begins with a funny but action packed fight scene. This was a good way to begin a Supergirl episode, bringing us straight in the action. +2 points
Unfortunatly this is only followed up with the terribly corny performance of Leslie Willis. She is the episode's main villian, sadly. It was so forgetable that when she returned in the CW crossover it took …Read more >
One thing that must be confusing is that episodes 4 & 5 were aired out of order, however i am reviewing them cronologically. It's annoying, and i'm going to remove a point for it. Now time to start the real review!
I would like to start with the effects of the episode. Due to the villian being Maxwell Lord, they got to work with a little more of Supergirl's powers and abilities. Having to do special effects for another character would have diminished the use of them. So i will give the start of the episode a 1/10 for brilliant effects from the whole episode.
Lucy Lane is a character on the show that has been turned into a third wheel instead of an interesting character. They fixed this by the end of the series, but it's still dumb. Basically…Read more >
Now for my second review, for the second one was a great superhero adventure that finally found it's footing. They still did not fix the Superman problem, but it is diminished with this one. The episode focused on Kara trying to be a better superhero, so it had her cause less property damages while she fights crime while listening to modern music. The main plot was Kara's aunt trying to use her evil plans for something we don't know of yet. Kara also was learning how to fight against the Fort Razz escapees. However she deals with emotional conflict with her sister by having to fight her, which is a valid conflict in my opinion. Overall the episode should get a 10/10, if it didn't have these small problems.

I posted this on the Arrowverse wiki and i'm going to post the rest of my reviews of Supergirl here.
Supergirl is not a show that originally aired on the CW, but due to it's welcome into the network we worship, it is time for some catching up. It is time for me to review Supergirl.
Being a guy myself doesn't change my opinion of it as a fan of the Super-Mythos. However i will be giving an unbiased opinion to Supergirl due to everyone needing to know if it's worth continuing with her adventures on the CW. Now let's find out!
The show starts on Krypton and tells the origin of both Superman and Supergirl, which is unavoidable when you are telling the story to new Super-lovers. The special effects are great, and it works. Kara falls into the phan…Read more >
Now i am not saying that the show isn't unique, i'm saying that some pieces of the story are the same.
Now let's compare the first seasons of the shows!
1. The Superhero narrates their origin to the audience.
2. The Superhero's parents are gone from their lives, so they are adopted by a foster family.
3. We cut forward in time to when our Hero has a job as an adult, and are rushing to get to it.
4. The boss of the hero doesn't care about our main character.
5. Our main character is put to sleep and wakes up to see a character with a dark secret, however he appears to be cold and distant.
6. Our main character falls in love with someone working in the news business, and he/she helps him/her to fight crime by motivating our hero emotionally.
7. The …Read more >

The first season of supergirl turned out to be great and was a huge success.
It was the perfect superhero serial and the cast did a great job.All the characters were pretty intense and were able to analyse the character.Specially melissa and chyler they were the perfect sister duo, both of them played their part very well.
Supergirl was a really inspirational superhero series,it just didn't focus on good punching bad but also focussed on how kara tried her best to balance her life with all the odds of a new planet, loss of her family and the series also proved us that kara is much more stronger than she thinks and she can fight all odds without superman.

How did everyone feel about Myriad?
I thought it began fairly well, ended really well, but the middle was not an good as others.
Max's line of referring to God as "her" if I heard it right was a bit dodgy as well like they're trying to over do the feminist tone (I fully support feminism and don't believe in God but I just thought the line was cringy)
Superman being controlled was weird. The explanation was even more weird.Read more >

So we've seen Silver Banshee, Bizarro, and Livewire, amongst many other DC Comics villains. So the question of this thread is: Who else would you like to see from the comics? Me personally, I would love to see Star Sapphire or Cheetah somehow. Unlikely yes, but they could somehow find a way to do it. More so Cheetah than Sapphire. I would also, again unlikely but not quite as much, like to see Lex and/or Mercy pop up for a guest appearance. How about you?Read more >

After reading many blogs and comments on episode discussion page i write this blog.
People had great expectations from the ep World's Finest and they are being a critic at saying that the episode was not up to the mark.(no hard feelings don't get me wrong)
I belive the episode was amazing and the writers did their best to entertain the people with Flash and Supergirl. We all expected a race, jealous Olsen,Wiinn trying to console Siobhan and a super excited Kara and it did happen, people say that the fight scene was not that long but come on its just a 30 min episode, how much can they show and we see fight scene in every episode and its nothing new. They even managed to show why siobhan became silver banshee.
Admit people you all wanted interac…Read more >
I think the crossover is an awesome idea but I think that revealing Siobhan has powers at the end of episode 17 when the crossover is on episode 18 is kinda rushing things. Are they going to reveal how she got her powers, how Barry got to Earth-3 (what I'm calling this universe), how they are going to get him back and all the other drama involving Winn & Siobhan, Kara & James, and Kara and Barry all in the crossover while also dealing with the two supervillians and discovering who's faster?Read more >
Don't get me wrong, I love Supergirl, but I would only go so far to say it's a good show. Not a great one. And I really think that it suffers from Season 1 Syndrome that Arrow suffered from. The first show on a network for a lesser-known hero (as opposed to the CW's Smallville) just seems to have kind of a 'meh' first season. I only remember little bits of the climax for S1 of Arrow really. though to me Supergirl is quite a bit more memorable.
S2 will probably turn out better if we get it, but am I the only one feeling the S1 Syndrome on Supergirl?Read more >
